What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a safe, natural and effective option for treating a range of different conditions including allergies, infertility and depression. It is often used as a highly effective alternative to Western Medicine.
Acupuncture works to stimulate the central nervous system, which in turn releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord and brain. These chemicals either alter the perception of pain or release other chemicals that influence the body’s self-regulating systems.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body, followed by gentle manual or electrical stimulation of the needles. Blood flow in the tissues increases when small vessels around the area of the needle dilate.
Acupuncture to treat Allergies
Acupuncure is a safe, natural and effective alternative to antihistamines, and it promote the healthy flow of qi (vital energy) that travels through our bodies in an attempt to correct the imbalance that occurred in the first place.
Blockages, excesses, deficiencies and imbalances need to be identified and corrected in order to eliminate allergy symptoms. When we treat someone for allergies, we like to develop a plan that will alleviate their acute symptoms while addressing the underlying immune system imbalance at the root of the allergy. Treatments often include lifestyle and dietary recommendations.
Acupuncture to Assist Fertility
Acupuncture is very good for overall reproductive health. In recent clinical trials, acupuncture as a fertility treatment has been shown to significantly increase conception rates and decrease miscarriage rates. Acupuncture resets your circadian clock, reduces stress, helps you release endorphins, and adjusts your endocrine system. It also rids the body of any underlying inflammation and boosts the immune system.
There is also strong evidence to show acupuncture’s ability to increase sperm volume, while improving sperm mobility and sperm morphology percentages as well.
Acupuncture to Rejuvenate Appearance
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is an effective non-surgical yet painless way to lessen the appearance of fine lines as well as deeper wrinkles and acne. According to Chinese medicine, it improves circulation and stimulates the body’s natural anti-aging powers.
Hair-thin needles are gently inserted into specific points on the face to facilitate the movement of blood and lymph around the face and stimulate the production of collagen. Treatments also improve muscle tone and dermal contraction plus tightens pores.
Advance Wellness also offers Constitutional Facial Acupuncture – a deeply relaxing treatment designed to treat both skin and underlying constitutional health to help improve the appearance of the face as well as the body’s overall function.
